I was asked by a coworker to make a portrait for him. This is Shed. Of course, I did our standard headshot that we use at Oracle. Conservative lighting, professional looking, against a white backdrop. When I was confident that we had that, I asked Shed if he would indulge me for one more. "One for me", I said. He said sure, so I had him lose his tie and I grabbed him a darker jacket. He's a nice guy who is almost always smiling and making jokes. I wanted to capture that spirit.
I did a quick lighting change and killed the background light so that the white background would go grey. Adjusted my exposure and here's the result. Definitely my favorite from the session.
